From the moment you walked into the Earl Jones Studio, welcomed with a glass of bubbly, you could not help but be transformed into the ambiance that would set the tone for the evening.
The event kicked off with a theatrical performance dating back to the time of Napoleon that sent the crowd into a gush of Ooh’s and Aaah’s with the Sabering of a bottle of champagne with a sword.
With a DRINK in hand, we settled in to listen to Louise van Niekerk from Earl Jones who shared her start-up story and how to LIVE a little better by implementing some small but meaningful changes in taking care of your posture and well-being in the office environment.
The evening’s recipe for success was nicely rounded off with Heleen Meyer walking us through the menu for the evening – perfectly prepared by her associate Ashley Badham-T hornhill. We learnt that to EAT healthy did not mean starving ourselves but all it took was a new attitude to choosing the right food and preparing it well.
The venue was well chosen for a gathering of old friends and new acquaintances as we finished off the evening sitting in the living room around a coffee table and shared a little something about ourselves to each other. As a newbie to the BWA network, this was only my 3rd event but by far the best in my book – I look forward to meeting you all again in the future!
