Legal & Tax Obligations Workshop

8 May 2004
Durban Country Club

The workshop was well presented. The group consisted of a variety of SME's.

The group was very interactive; many questions were asked and answered by the speaker and an attorney and lecturer of finance (members who attended). There was a brilliant sharing of knowledge - Karlene from her financial background and Shamla with her legal expertise. Much time was spent on the discussion of the best form of business to undertake, as each form of business has its own personality. There was a lengthy discussion around different taxes and how they are apportioned - where does it really go to, etc.

The general consensus was that the workshop was very informative in terms of content. Attendees found the participatory nature of it most enjoyable.
