Chair Report

Bea HackulaIt is that time of the year to reflect, look back and count our blessings for the year 2009. It is also time to acknowledge our failures and derive strength for the year ahead. As I am preparing for my exit at the end of the term, I am grateful for the opportunity to have met and worked with wonderful women like yourselves who have enriched my soul in so many ways. I am also thankful for the lifetime blessing of being a woman.

As we prepare for our Christmas festivities let us not forget those who have nothing; the children that are roaming the dark streets and corners of the Eastern Cape; women who endorse abuse of all of kinds daily because they have no other option. During the 16 days of activism I urge those women and men who are enlightened to join hands and fight this monster (abuse) and bring hope to those vulnerable. During this special time, Christmas; let us reach out physically, emotional and spiritually and create a better society and a better Eastern Cape.

May you all be blessed abundantly.

Yours in transformation,

Bea Hackula

Coordinator Report

Bianca SommerfieldWe are nearing the end of a wonderful 2009, this has truly been a great year for the BWA Border Kei Region with a new branch that opened up in Queenstown and the BWA launch in Mthatha on Friday, 27 November 2009. We have grown our membership to a whopping 210 members in this region and we are looking forward to growing the database to 300 members in the New Year.

Another year has passed and as we look back on the highlights of this BWA year we smile and welcome the year ahead. This has been a very successful year for the BWA Border Kei Region with a branch opening in Queenstown and our membership in Mthatha growing rapidly.

We currently have 210 BWA members in our region and for us that is a great achievement and we could not have done this without the help and support of all our members, sponsors and loyal supporters. We have set out the calendar for 2010 and it's going to be bigger and better than 2009 and we want you to be a part of this. As a member we welcome your input and suggestions for functions and events so please do not hesitate to contact me with your ideas as your input counts.

Once again a massive thank you to all the ladies (and let me also say gentlemen) who have supported us throughout the year, and to our sponsors who have been kind enough to sponsor and support our cause. To all our loyal members, thank you for renewing your memberships for the following year and welcome to all the new BWA members. We appreciate and value your support.

Well, that's all from me for now I will see you all in the New Year. Compliments of the season to you and your family, and may you have a blessed festive season.

Bianca Sommerfeld

Say No To All

Do you often find yourself copying multiple files into a folder only to find that Windows wants to conduct the Spanish Inquisition first? Have a look at the image below:

Does that look familiar? Have you also noticed that there's an option for "Yes to All", but no button for "No to All"? Rapidly clicking "No" all day is not our idea of a good time either. Thankfully, should you find yourself faced with a "No" Ground Hog Day session, there is a way out of it!

All you need to get yourself a "No to All" option is hold the Shift key when you click "No". Yes. It really is that simple.

You're welcome! (Just make sure you know what you're saying no to in the first place)

Do you have any digital media queries? Please feel free to contact me.
