Zululand have started our own Business Book Club.
The book club is exclusively for BWA members.
Concept
- Provide members with access to Business books at the recommendation of other members who will have had an opportunity to read and learn from them.
- To share the (sometimes very high) costs associated with purchasing current Business Books.
- Provide a forum within which we as members could learn together, from the books as well as from each other.
- Develop an initiative, which promises to be a great success.
Information
- Meetings are to be held every second month.
- Members need to donate two books each to start the book club ‘library’.
- BWA will purchase one book monthly to supplement the library (current releases).
- All book club members will have access to old favourites, tried and tested, as well as the opportunity to read the current favourite business books.
Membership Fees
R 100 per meeting, payable at the first meeting.
Thereafter, payment is payable into the bank account before the next meeting. 20% of this fee will be made available to the BWA Zululand branch.
Conditions
- All books belong to the BWA library (with the exception of the books donated on joining).
- Membership allows access to books.
- Members may recommend books.
- Initial meeting: members are to bring 2 books to ‘stock’ the library. However, members retain ownership of the books that they provide.
- Members are to submit a review on books that they have read which is kept on record and or used in the newsletter. The review must be done according to the standard template provided.
- All members will in turn (in alphabetical order), have the opportunity to select books. The books are to be put aside and will be paid for by the branch coordinator.
- A record will be maintained of all books ‘signed out’ by book club members.
Please contact the office if you would like to join.
