 Business Dinner ConversationsMinimize

Zululand have started our own Business Supper Club.  The supper club is exclusively for BWA members.

Concept

  1. Provide members with access to a fun relaxed environment, for networking purposes.
  2. This concept is combined with women’s love of chatting and nurturing relationships.  It is the women’s version of a day on the golf course.
  3. Provide a forum within which we as members could learn and grow relationships together.
  4. The money collected does not have to be used towards the cost of the evening but can be spent on anything the hostess sees fit.  (Debt she has, a new outfit).
  5. Develop an initiative, which promises to be a great success.

Information

1. Meetings are to be held every second month at the homes of the members.  This will be based on a roster system.
2. Members cannot owe their fee – it must be paid on the night into the kitty and then handed over to the next hostess.  It a member is unable to make a supper they must see to it that heir money is received before the dinner.
3. Dinners are for women only unless, unanimously decided upon that a specific evening will include partners (eg. Christmas).

Membership Fees

R100 per meeting, payable at each meeting.
20% of this money will be made available to the BWA Zululand branch, and the balance to be handed to the host to fund the next meeting.

Conditions

  1. Membership allows access to all suppers hosted.
  2. Initial meeting:  The launch of the supper club will be done by a member of BWA.  At this meeting the first hostess will be nominated.
  3. Members are to submit a recipe at each meeting which will be kept on record on the website and or used in the newsletter.  The recipe must be done according to the standard template provided.
  4. All members will in turn (in alphabetical order), have the opportunity to host the dinner at their house or venue of their choice.
  5. Format for each supper hosted:
    • Welcome drink (cocktail/sherry)
    • ‘show and tell’ – hostesss discuss what she spent the money on
    • Main course
    • Dessert
    • Coffee, cheese and biscuits
    • Next hostess announced and money handed over.

Please contact the office if you would like to join.
