As an integral part of its activities, TUSKON conducts a series of trade summits in Turkey to link leading Turkish companies with their international counterparts. TUSKON’s previous trade summits attracted a total of 4,300 companies from 80 countries visiting Turkey in 2006, 2007 and 2008. In 138,000 bilateral business meetings with 11,500 Turkish enterprises, a trade volume of US$7bn was generated over the past three years.

With an estimated 120,000 one-on-one business meetings and a trade target of US$7bn, TUSKON is planning on even a larger trade show in 2009. Representatives of more than 2,000 international companies, high level bureaucrats, presidents of chambers of commerce and journalists from 150 countries of the Asia Pacific region, North and South America, Africa, Europe, Eurasia and Middle East are invited to participate in the “Turkey-World Trade Bridge 2010”.

Co-hosted by Republic of Turkey, Undersecreteriat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade, trade ministers from 150 different countries will also be present at this summit to discuss the impacts of the current global financial crisis, offer solutions and explore opportunities to restore momentum to global trade.
